Hi I am so excited to have been given The Cool Impossible by my friend for my birthday this summer.  I've been battling Achilles Tendonitis for 5 years now, and have tried literally EVERYTHING possible to fix it, but it still plagues me.

In the meantime, I ran my first Marathon in 2010, my second in 2011, and two half marathons in between, skipping 2012 because I just didn't feel I could do it again with pain....I've been running (and I use the term loosely...more like slow jogging) persistently STRUGGLING through my pain, sometimes okay, sometimes terrible.

I teach boot camp daily, so I am always on the move.  I just got my slant board and poles and started the strengthening and balance exercises last week, and I'm going to persist through all of them until I get myself fixed, cuz I wanna do the LA Marathon this year.

Would love to hear from anyone who has been battling Achilles tendonitis for a long time, who was able to fix it with Eric's approach!

XO Laura

  • Hey Laura,

I had achilles issues (pain at the rear of my right heel) for 8 months until I found out I had Mortons foot. (short first metatarsal). Problem went away in about 4 days and has not returned. Google "Mortons Foot" or Posture Dynamics.

  • Hi Eric!

Thanks for the boost!  I've been doing the slant/wobble board with the poles for one minute on each leg for the past ten days, now  I'm going to start to progress to 2 minutes on each leg.  I'm also starting the fitball exercises now as well.  Was wondering if when you are first starting these exercises if your feet, arches, ankles are supposed to feel achy and your legs feel kind of tired?  I notice that if do them the slant board exercises right before a run, my legs feel tired!  Just curious, thanks so muchly!
