Sand Dune Training for Marathon des Sables by Running on Snowy Trails, Mountains, Roads at 7600 feet

On my family ski trip to Vail Colorado Eric prescribed a very creative running program of altitude mountain training runs on snowy trails and roads to mimic the slippery environment of sand dune running at MDS Morrocco. On one of the days Eric prescribed a double workout. In the morning I was supposed to do a 60 minute run which I did from 5-6AM. Afterwards I skied with the family all day and then after skiing I did a PM 60 minute run with a 20-30 minute mountain climb. Needless to say, my body…See More

Hi Eric,I am running with the new mid foot strike form that you describe in your video and have been explaining in your work out plans with me. My stomach feels like I have been doing alot of situps over the last few days (which i have not). Does the running style (midfoot) put more strain on the stomach?BillSee More
