Thank you, as always for the video and coaching tips.
Today on my run I focused on force into the ground and pulling my legs through as I too tend to lift my legs up and down and not forward as I increase my cadence if I don't focus on this.
Great question Jake. This might happen at first until you get more efficient. Keep in mind that cadence will take time, it is just not something you can learn and flip a switch. So, at first you might not be able to hit the cadence at a low/easy HR effort. But as you get more efficient and work on drills, this will get better and better.
So keep at it, but stay patient and see improvement over time.
Should I worry that when I shorten my cadence to move faster my heart rate spikes up as well?
