I´m on the second week of the getting started 8 week plan (Great by the way :) ) . Yesterday i saw that my "dream race" was scheduled for Oct 15 ( Ultra Marathon de los Andes.. @ Chile), so i´d like to now how could i combine my current plan with the 50 Mile plan you also offer.. i have never run more than a half Marathon but i´m really motivated to finish the race.

Officially started my first day of training today for the BTR secret race in Oct. I parked in town at the Snow King Resort parking lot and started with a climb up Snow King mtn. This is the local ski hill and gains 1753 feet in just 2.14 miles.
After my Snow King summit, I headed off the back side to tack on an extra 3.5 miles for a total of 5.69 miles and 2,147 elevation gain. I managed to keep everything under my climbing threshold HR. This is very important early season to…Continue

Hello everyone, last week during my tempo run I got a sudden sharp pain in my left lower calf muscle. It was as if a demon came out of the dirt and whipped it, lol. So I immediately slowed down to a jog and every step was painful after that. So when I got home I iced it and took ibuprofen and then took 4 days off from running. Then yesterday I tried jogging on it and it still hurts. I jogged for about 20 minutes to see if it would go away as I warmed up but it did not. I have had soreness…Continue
