Rebuilding... where to begin?

So... while I have a long history of running, I am essentially beginning again after a long absence. Not sure which program to start with as I have a goal (unrealistic?) to run a 50k in October with a couple of shorter races in-between. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks!

What I Learned on The Naked Tour

Touring around the country with Chris McDougall helping promote the Born To Run paperback was great fun.  Every stop was unique and it was wonderful to meet so many passionate runners.  I would often close my speech by telling the audience how cool it was that someone (Chris) who came in last, has completely turned the run industry upside down.  Chris's…

Then yesterday I tried jogging on it and it still hurts. I jogged for about 20 minutes  to see if it would go away as I  warmed up but it did not. I have had soreness…
