Profile Information

How many years have you been running?
What is your goal race for the year?
Squamish 50 miler
What is your greatest running accomplishment?
Having no idea what I was getting into and entering a 23km trail race with almost 5,000 feet elevation gain in the first 6km with only having ever run 10km max before. Not giving up and surprising myself when I did not die, puke out my nose, crumble and finished the race strong.
What is your "ultimate dream" running goal?
Mountains, mountains, mountains! My short term ultimate dream is to enter & complete an 80km trail race this August while convincing people to get involved with the fight against the pipeline going through our coast and the Great Bear Rainforest by having people commit to getting one signature on the petition against the pipeline for every km I complete in the race. Long term? I would like to run across Canada. Thought I would work up to 80km first ;)

I groggily asked him what his route was going to be and he gave a full detailed description of his proposed route with side trails and all. Couldn't argue with that so off he went on his first…
