My lunch consist most of the time of brocolis, carrots, sweet peas, cherry tomatos and an avocado (exellent with lime juice and green tabasco). I still alowed my…

One word WOW!!! I just did my first trail+mountain race and that was an incredible experience. It was a 6 miler with 1650ft of elevation in the last mile! that was REALLY HARD but i can't wait next year to do it again. I finished 53th out of 246 runners (1:16min) so I'm very proud of myself and I want to say a big thanks to Eric and his good advises! I think I'm hooked to this kind of events, all I think about is the next one i'll do! I just wanted to share my experience with you all and… Continue

so you like the cascadias? i've not tried them. a friend of mine bought a pair, but they rubbed off the skin from his Achilles Tendon. ((i think he just needed socks that went high enough to prevent that, even my brooks green silence shoes will chafe my achilles if i wear low socks.

I live in Massachuestts and am thinking of commign up and trying the 30k. I can't seem to find much informantion on the shorter races though, such as the 30k or the half marathon... It looks like a though course and would be a big challenge

Oh yes, do it. It took me over 11 hours (I'm old and slow!), but if you train properly and pace yourself, it's a beautiful run. The promoter tries to scare people so that there aren't unprepared runners getting into trouble.

It was an amazing race, but really really long. Lots of hiking (too steep to run), a couple of k of brook running. I hope to do it again.
