Hi All, 

I've just finished reading The Cool Impossible - and am excited to kick off the training program. I'm in the preparation phase at the moment, and have been focusing on form and cadence, and strengthening my feet. 

The only thing holding me back from jumping onto the TCI program, is that I'm also member of a run club that meets once a week, always on a Thursday. I've been holding off for the past 4 weeks (in my preparation phase), but am hoping to get back to it soon. With the club, each week we alternate between doing a run, usually about an hour or so with warm up & cool down, of either intervals or hills. Typically, we'll run 8-12k all up, depending on the workout. This group is a great community, with lots of experienced runners, and I'm hopeful that I can keep running with them. My only concern is that I'm not sure if doing these runs each Thursday will substantially interfere with the programming of the Cool Impossible program.

Does anyone have any advise/thoughts/guidance on how/if I can work this in with the 20 week TCI training program? I guess I'm hoping I can have the best of both worlds!

PS: My Cool Impossible is a 50k trail race. At this stage, just finishing would be awesome. The race is in May, so I'm trying to develop a good endurance base to then build some race specific training on from Feb '22.
