I'll add a review of the Runventure 2 once I get some more miles on them.  They are a fairly recent purchase for me (28 miles).  I could probably go for something a little lighter, but most trail shoes that I have found that are more minimal tend to also be too narrow.

Most of my trail miles are on the Topo MT-2 which are good but I don't love them: I have to use heel lock lacing to prevent the heel from slipping, but that makes it too tight on the tendon on the front of my ankle, especially when walking.

I have 1800 miles on several pairs of ST-2 (and 580 miles on a few pairs of FiveFingers). I could definitely write a review of those. :-)

Ahh, those inserts bring back memories. You would have loved the endurance shoe I was working on before leaving the project. It was a non-split toe, very similar to what Altra and TOPO eventually did with the Superior/Runventure.

I have heard good things about the new Runventure 2.  Would you like to do a review??

It is a little heavy for me on paper, but would love to have a stand alone review of it if you are into it?

I'm in Florida, so we only have 2 seasons: hot and really hot.

For the street, I use Topo Athletic ST-2.  For the trail, I use Topo Athletic Runventure 2.

I like Topo because they have 0-drop options, have minimal shoe options, and fit my wide forefoot well.  (I tried Altra, but they were way too sloppy on my heel/ankle area resulting in terrible heel blisters.)

Eric and I have very different shaped feet, at least if the insoles from my B2R shoes were any indication:
