Great Idea Ben, my thing is this, you don't know what you don't know, & to a certain extent your preaching to the converted here. To reach outside the forum you need to create interest beyond the walls of TCI to bring people in. It would be interesting to know the number of books Eric has sold to the number of people that join TCI & the number of people on TCI who haven't come here via the book. If we knew that you could focus on the platform that brings people here & brainstorm this.

Looking more at an online angle, how about scheduled online Q&As? Easy to promote and good to pitch to runners who aren't already members of the site...

It could work through either something like the chatroom on here, or maybe even an open video Google Hangout? Hangouts are very popular with other online communities, so should help to get more people involved?

Rich I'm just putting these ideas out there, if something came to fruition it would be only if Eric was comfortable with a person & they were comfortable & able to do it.

.g. I've talked about CI on the Oxfam running facebook pages and I've referred to CI on my charity fundraising pages

As a Twitter geek I find your videos and running advice tips are great to re-tweet. Maybe we could make more use if social media

This is all great - keep it coming.  But, lets direct ideas right now to online/virtual concepts that can empower daily.  There is a lot of this we can implement online to reach the world.

Not sure how I fit in a talent pool! Not one for standing up in front of others. Would sooner just be out there running

You could use the talent pool of TCI, Lori, Rich, Ben, Bill, Eric etc to run local run clinics, or events. TCI could assist members to set up Eric Orton/TCI events in their local area.
Just brain storming, throwing it out there.

You could run, pun intended, the annual Eric Orton classic or TCI running festival with a variety of distances. "The Classic" could travel to a different city or location every year like the Super Bowl or the British Open.
Expanding this you could run a series with multiple races.
