What to take on your long distance mountain run?
I believe SAFETY FIRST. SAFE BY CHOICE NOT BY CHANCE.
On my trail runs I like to take my hydra pak(2L)
First aid kit
Cell phone
Swiss army knife
Plenty of food
Map of the area
Running buddy (which I need)
Any other suggestions please post here. I like to hear what you guys take on your runs. Thanks in advance! Peace be the journey! : )

Bear spray or if I am going way back I have a 357 revolver. Used it once just to scare off a curious mountain lion who was wondering if I was tasty or not... First and hopefully last shot - I truly love montana and its wildest residents!
