Intro

I've been running for three years and I ran my first 50 mile race last May, TNF Endurance Challenge at Bear Mt.  My right heel really started to bother me about 2/3rds into the race.  I figured that my feet were not use to the very rocky terrain.  My heel continued to bother me  through May and got to the point where I had trouble walking.  My Podiatrist took x-rays and I had a fractured heel bone.  Six weeks in soft cast, then I was told no running for 4  weeks, then I was told that I have a bad case of Plantar Faciitis which my Podiatrist thinks that I've suffered from for a long time.  My foot is finally starting to be pain free and I decided to take the time follow "The Cool Impossible"  and strengthen/retrain myself how to run.
