For all those parents who run and sometimes feel guilty for time on trails vs time spent with family, a little inspiration that maybe it does have a positive effect on your kids. My son (7 years old) woke us up early in the morning and is fully dressed and asks us if it is okay if he goes for a run. I groggily asked him what his route was going to be and he gave a full detailed description of his proposed route with side trails and all. Couldn't argue with that so off he went on his first solo run (for those having jammers right now, we live in a very safe spot). He came back 15min later and told me that he wants to run the Western States 100 when he is older. Hilarious.

That is awesome Stephanie!
