It wasn't pretty and I knew it wouldn't be at 1 minute. Goal? Under 6:00... actual..6:19. Went out like a crazy woman. At one minute I was averaging a 4:58...oops. Then came the most painful 3 laps of my life! The only thing that kept me from quitting was the thought of having to do it again. As I lay flat on my back on the track looking at the stars (passerbys giving me strange looks), I realized, any day this 40 year old mother of 3 can get up at 4 something am and go bust it out on a track like that is a really really good day ;)
