Heart rate zones

What is the zone you are supposed to run in for a long race such as a half or full marathon?

Next plan

I'm about three weeks away from finishing the getting started 8 week strength plan.

Is there a plan anyone can recommend next?  I'm planning on doing a half marathon in July and a marathon in September.  These are road races.

Treadmill use

Our city has been in the national news for snow over the last few days. Needless to say it's hard to run outside. So I'm stuck on a treadmill (which I hate).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can turn lemons into lemonade? (How to train on a treadmill)

Thanks.

David
