Flatrock 25K race report

This is the second 25k I've ever done. Last one was a year ago at Pumpkin Holler. I nearly blew up then. I went out too fast trying to keep up with the lead females and as I struggled and fell further and further behind I fought harder and slowed more. I struggle with pacing, with trusting my ability, and running my own race early on.

1 mile test...insert sirens, crash and burn sound effects!

It wasn't pretty and I knew it wouldn't be at 1 minute. Goal? Under 6:00... actual..6:19. Went out like a crazy woman. At one minute I was averaging a 4:58...oops. Then came the most painful 3 laps of my life! The only thing that kept me from quitting was the thought of having to do it again. next cool impossible

Tor Des Geants. It's a 330 kilometer (206 mi) endurance run traversing the Italian Alps. Up and down and up and down ;)
