My once and only effortless run.

A number of years ago when I was running fairly regularly but no great mileage I turned up for the Great North Run (a half marathon) in Newcastle, England. On pulling my kit out of the car I found out that I had not packed my trainers. Normally I would have said "Sod it, I'll just watch" , but that year I had decided to do a sponsored run to raise money for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy as a friends child suffered from it.
