My B2R Road shoe review

Posted on July 28, 2013 at 1:56pm 2 Comments

Hi, before I get into the review I think it's important to talk about myself. I've been running off and on for about 8 years. I've been "performance running" for 3 years. A huge, huge thanks to Eric for showing those videos on how to forefoot strike. The main reason I run because it keeps me in shape and forces me to eat better. I'm currently running 30+ miles/week. I only race 1 to 2 races a year. And I'm currently training for my first 50k trail race.

Now I'm going to review the… Continue

What to take on your long distance mountain run?

Posted on June 23, 2012 at 11:31pm 1 Comment

Hi everyone, I thought I should put this post up since I haven't seen one up. After all it is summer time and I know people like to go to the mountains this time of the year.

I believe SAFETY FIRST. SAFE BY CHOICE NOT BY CHANCE.

On my trail runs I like to take my hydra pak(2L)

First aid kit

Cell phone

Swiss army knife

Plenty of food

Map of the area

Running buddy (which I need)

Any other suggestions please post here. I like to hear… Continue

Pain in lower calf muscle

Posted on June 14, 2011 at 12:52am 2 Comments

Hello everyone, last week during my tempo run I got a sudden sharp pain in my left lower calf muscle. It was as if a demon came out of the dirt and whipped it, lol. So I immediately slowed down to a jog and every step was painful after that. So when I got home I iced it and took ibuprofen and then took 4 days off from running. Then yesterday I tried jogging on it and it still hurts. I jogged for about 20 minutes  to see if it would go away as I  warmed up but it did not. I have had soreness…

Hey Bobby - not sure about the marathon, but I will be in LA at some point for the book tour.  Looks like sometime 2nd/3rd week in May.

Hi Bobby. No, I didn't run Baldy this year. The pic is from a 10k snowshoe race I ran in Big Bear last year. That was TOUGH!

Hey Bobby - thanks for the message. I would go with a size 12.5.  You want the B2R shoe to fit near the end of the toe box, but not touching.  In other words, you do not need excessive room.  And, the split design will accommodate your wider feet and Morton's issue...and could help it.  My whole goal in designing these were to allow a great fit for most foot types and I really think we nailed it, like aaron mentioned in his review.

Happy early birthday!
