Hi Brendan,
Calf soreness went very quickly. I have had various other aches and pains though while transitioning into the VFFs. After the calf soreness came the sore foot tendons which took about 6 weeks to adjust to. Then came sore muscles on the outside of the lower leg. I also had sore hips / groin area but that went away after reading Eric's tip about visualising stepping over a log to ensure knees are driving forward instead of just dragging through.
All the niggles have never been very bad, they just move around and I am doing training that I would thought to be impossible a year ago so I won't be going back to my asics :)
