The Zumbro 100 is April 13, I'm toying with the 17 mile single loop, since 17 would make my longest distance yet. I've looked for a 25k training plan but haven't easily found one. I've done Eric's half plan but know it won't get me the miles I need (without tweaking it). I'm considering the full marathon plan since it looks like week 13 is about 17 miles, which is right where I need to be.
I don't have a problem with that, however, being over halfway through a marathon plan makes me think I should then finish the rest and go for it. (To which you will all say yes!) But, I'm not certain there is a race I want to run the weekend the plan finishes. So how would you go about stretching out a plan without wearing yourself out unnecessarily or losing ground?
