I want to thank you again for the new legs Eric.. This past weekend I broke three PR's. A fifty mile time under ten hours, and just eked out one hundred miles in 24Hr's for a double there. It was at St Pats 24Hr in South Bend IN, my hometown. We had cool (40-50 degrees) and rain most of the day on Sat with wind. Then around midnight it cleared up and the temps dropped to low 30's. I had to stop three times to change tops and had one bout of sleepiness that some coffee and Espresso gel took care of. For the most part I felt consistent with a good peak at the end. We ran a three mile loop of mostly trail and only completed loops counted. The last 30 mins we switched to a 1/4 mile out and back. I finished my last loop at 96.9 miles with 35 mins to go so with a five min breather all I had to do was run a 30 min 5K. I didn't have full confidence I could do it but I kept focused, pumping the arms and with my eyes aimed directly ahead. As I made it to the turn around time expired for a total distance of 100.092 miles. This is a small but well run event I believe next years date is Oct 17 so check it out. Bill
Way to go, Bill!!!
