Awesome pose! And truly beautiful form...makes me think I need to get a camera and take video or stills of myself running to see what I'm doing and, more specifically, not doing as well as I could.
Permalink Reply by Paul Weeks on March 18, 2013 at 2:06pm But isn't he plantar flexing? (i.e. the angle between foot and ankle more than 90 degrees). And isn't he pushing off with his toes? I thought we were supposed to avoid those things to minimise calf pain. Or have I got it all wrong??? And how can you tell from the picture that he's not using excessive push from the ankle? Puzzled. And also not running because of flexor dig. longus pain (and trying to find out why).
