I run so that I can eat. As a result, I spend a lot of my long run thinking about what delicious thing I can chow down for my recovery meal.

Here's my favorite:

  • Paleo homebrew smoothie (apple cider, dextrose, vanilla whey, frozen raspberries and peaches)
  • Vietnamese sweet potato lettuce wraps
  • Beef pho

What are your favorites?

LOL, love it, I also run so I can eat. My favourites

. Sweet potato

. I love a good steak. I actually took one running with me and ran the first half of my run so easily knowing the steak was waiting for me in the car. I did get some funny looks from people watching me chow down on a steak and then continue running.

. Cheese

. Smoothie (Blueberries, raspberries, banana, yoghurt)

. I actually crave 2 minute noodles after running as well for some reason.

Here's an interesting recovery recipe:

Samoan Poi
Mash one pound of ripe bananas in bowl. Stir in the zest of one lemon, seven ounces of coconut milk, and one teaspoon of vanilla. Chill for about 45 minutes in the refrigerator. Then eat.

I'm giving this a try on Saturday. It sounds awesome

I do too actually...run so I can eat that is...I don't know that I have a recovery meal exactly but I think I soon will after reading some of these delicious ideas!  (c:
