It's that time of year again to start making your 2012 race goals.  What are your goals?  Lets hear them. 

Here are a few of my race goals for some of my athletes:

  • qualify for Utra Trail Mont Blanc
  • 3 finishers at Leadville 100
  • Qualify for USAT World's team 
  • Finish marathon under 4 hrs
  • complete 50 mile race 
  • Big Horn 30k
  • Big Horn 50 miler under 10 hrs
  • first 100K

I am looking forward to my first ultra this year - would it be 50K road race or 55K trail race or perhaps even both. Also, a 3:30 marathon would be nice.

I just want to be able to run and run far. I have had a colon resection at the end of November and will have another surgery on my liver soon. I didn't know it was cancer slowing me down. Surgery stopped the running for a month. At the hospital I would walk laps around the floor.

my goal is simply to finish a marathon this year. Also finish well in the first nation home 10 k

Irish Spring 10 k  March 17, Fredericksburg 1/2 marathon  May 20th, South Riding Triathlon in August, Marine Corps Marathon in October 28th.  All the foot race are part of the Marine Corps' running series.

I'm going for a 5K in under 20 minutes. My current PR is 20:28, set last month. Just 30 seconds to go! Also going to attempt my first 50K this year.

Hi everyone!

I think I've got many things in mind, but I am going to try to:

  • Take part in most of the 10km, 21km and marathons available this year.
  • Finish the MDS Marathon in less than 4:30 hrs. (Maratón de Santiago, Chile)
  • Do more trail running.
  • Finish my first 50km in The North Face Ultramarathon- Chile.
  • Take part in the NIKE 300km. (I did it once...it's an unforgettable experience)

I'll extremely happy if I can accomplish all these goals. And, it'll be a plus if I get into the "The Cool Impossible"....THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!...;)

Going for a 30K race i September. I haven't been able to run for many years so I think it's a good race/goal to go for. After that 50K race in May next year. And by May 1st cut 10 minutes off my 10K track. I'm on my way back!

Continue my love affair with my Five Fingers although the people close to me thinks I'm crazy. 

My running goals for 2012 are based on my big running goal of 2013, ie, run Offa's Dyke (the natural boundary between England and Wales) in 6 days. So in 2012 I'm going to run all the segments of Offa's Dyke, work on my orienteering and navigation skills, and get my body more fit for the hills. Here's to a successful and fun year for everyone.

Running my first half marathon this Sunday! And try to do a full marathon in December (would love to go for the Reggae Marathon in Jamaica in December... just have to save a few thousand extra dollars....)

Im in for completing a 50 mile race. September 2012.
